Have you been told you’re not a candidate for Invisalign? We beg to differ. We can successfully treat with Invisalign when other practices say it can’t be done. That’s what has earned Hatcher & Frey Orthodontics a Top 1% Invisalign Provider in the nation designation, as well as a VIP Diamond Plus level Invisalign ranking from the international brand.
Invisalign, a newer orthodontic technology launched in the early 2000s, is viewed as far superior to conventional braces – but there’s a catch. It requires greater skill, planning and savvy to use. So, while many dentists and orthodontic providers may offer basic Invisalign services, they can’t do so in the same capacity that Hatcher & Frey Orthodontics can. Your orthodontist not only must design how your teeth are to be positioned, but also anticipate how your teeth and jaws will respond during the course of treatment.
Thus, many orthodontists and non-orthodontists avoid recommending Invisalign as an option, or they cut corners on esthetic and functional goals to make Invisalign less complicated for them to use. Some doctors also cut corners to make their fees appear cheaper – when in fact you are just receiving a lower level of care. You won’t have to worry about that at Hatcher & Frey.
We are the Most Experienced Orthodontists in the region with Invisalign and have patients traveling from across the US to be treated in our office. Additionally, Dr. Frey lectures orthodontists around the country about Invisalign and helps to establish best practices. At Hatcher & Frey Orthodontics, you can feel confident that you are receiving the highest standard of care.
Using the latest digital technology, we craft your vision for your smile and carefully plan the individual tooth movements from beginning to end to achieve your esthetic and functional goals, whether they are simple or complex. Based on our exact specifications, Invisalign fabricates a series of custom-made tooth aligners out of smooth, comfortable, and virtually invisible plastic. Wearing these aligners over your teeth removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss, and changing to the next set in the series about every week will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place. The best part is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth, and you’ll get the smile you deserve with little interference to your daily life.
There are many tools that we can use to deliver our signature smiles, but when you are deciding on treatment it is important to consider what will work for your lifestyle. Since there are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten, Invisalign is a clear, comfortable, and convenient alternative to braces. There is minimal interference in how you live and, in the right hands, Invisalign produces the same beautiful outcomes as traditional braces.
As a parent you understand how valuable a healthy smile is to your child’s future, but between school, sports, their first job, and even prom, braces may not be the ideal choice to straighten their teeth. With Invisalign you can give your child the confidence of a great smile without all the restrictions of metal braces and let them focus on being a kid.
Invisalign and braces are two different approaches used to achieve the same end result: a happier, healthier smile. Treatment modalities are always the patient’s choice, we can achieve the same results using Invisalign – and often in less time with fewer visits, and less discomfort than traditional metal braces. Many people won’t even be able to tell you’re wearing an appliance to straighten your teeth!
The length of treatment depends on the amount of tooth movement required to meet your treatment goals. Most treatments take 10–18 months or less in our office, but ultimately your biology is the limiting factor.
In order to work as designed, your aligners must be worn at least 20–22 hours per day. To most it becomes second nature.
Because we are able to digitally design your treatment, frequent appointments are not necessary. This means that there are fewer total appointments and treatment can be designed around your schedule. Most patients are seen every 3 months.
Invisalign typically does not interfere with speech significantly, though it will feel different talking for the first few days.
Your aligners are removable, which means that there are no restrictions on what you can eat just that you should not eat or drink anything besides plain water while wearing your aligners.
Not at our office. We do whatever it takes to deliver great smiles and healthy bites.
If your insurance plan includes orthodontic benefits, you can use your insurance to help pay for Invisalign treatment. Many “insurance-based” orthodontic practices add additional fees for Invisalign. We do not.
Invisalign aligners are made from a patented SmartTrack polymer developed specifically for tooth movement.
Yes. They are 100% BPA Free.
Brushing your aligners with liquid soap and water, never with toothpaste, and soaking them ever other night in retainer cleaner or diluted bleach will keep each set of aligners fresh during the two weeks you will need to wear that set.
Wearing your retainers is essential to preserving your smile following any comprehensive orthodontic treatment. Since teeth shift throughout life, you will need to wear your retainers at night for as long as you want to keep your teeth straight.
The type of retainers you receive depends on your initial malocclusion. In addition, we offer all our patients the opportunity to participate in our Retainers for Life program – so you never have to worry about lost or broken retainers again.
